Brian Wutz, Esq.

Brian leads Harpeth Insurance Group, an independent agency serving families and businesses in Tennessee, Indiana and Pennsylvania. He has more than 5 years on the sales side of the insurance business and writes personal, commercial and life coverage. He represents Erie Insurance along with other carriers, so clients get coverage built around what they need rather than what one company sells.

In 2026, Brian earned Erie Insurance’s prestigious Allure Award, which recognizes strong sales across commercial, personal and life lines. Shelter Insurance named him a Sales Rising Star during his tenure there.
Brian came to insurance with more than 20 years of legal experience and a background in real estate. He holds a law degree from Michigan State University College of Law, a BS from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, and a Master of Public Administration from Syracuse’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. He is also an affiliate broker with Synergy Realty Network. With that background, he reads policy language carefully, spots coverage gaps before they become problems, and knows how claims and contracts play out in the real world.

Originally from New York, Brian has made his home in Middle Tennessee. He and his wife, Jeffri, enjoy caring for and riding horses on their family farm in Franklin, Tennessee. They have three children; they adopted their oldest in 2025. Brian coaches middle school basketball at St. Henry School. He is a past director of the Fairview Arts Council and served as sergeant-at-arms and treasurer of his Rotary club. In his free time, he rides motorcycles, golfs, skis, and spends as much time on the water as he can.
